LG Bridge is a free and official utility for LG-branded phones and tablets for accessing and updating select devices. The application is straight-forward and provides a neat layout which provides access to its signature features such as phone backup and restore, device updates and the transfer of files between a PC and handheld. Another prerequisite is having LG AirDrive already installed. For backups, the program allows you to save your personalized home and lock screen, any personal date, media data, LG apps, downloaded apps and your customized settings.
Once the desired items have been selected, LG Bridge will start the process. Restoring can be completed in a similar manner. LG Bridge isn't the end all of phone applications, but it does a pretty good job of keeping data backed up in case of corruption or a lost device. Click Ok on the pop up, if you wish to not see that message again, check mark don't show this again.
Note: You can only restore the phone if you have previously made a back up. Click the Software update tab, Ensure your phone is connected to the computer and click Software update. In the case your phone gets disconnected or the update freezes, on the bottom right corner of LG bridge, select Update error recovery. Add a check mark to both boxes to "agree" and click Next. Select the location of where to save the program and click Install Wait for the progress to complete and click Next. Select your the information you want to back up and click Next.
Select each of the files you wish to back up by placing a check mark next to them, once ready, click Start Note: Each category can be expanded to sub sections.
Wait for the back up to start. Bridge will indicate each section and its overall progress. The information will then be sent to the computer. Select the files you wish to restore.
